Project Background & Objectives
ECOOR delivered the extension and complete refurbishment of an operational pharmacy under particularly demanding conditions: keeping the business fully operational throughout the works.
The objective was to transform the pharmacy without disrupting its day-to-day operations, while enhancing both the patient experience and the working environment for the pharmacy team.
The project included an extension of the retail area, the creation of new private consultation rooms, and a complete reorganisation of customer flow and internal layouts to support the pharmacy’s evolving needs.
Total project area: 630 m².
The Client’s Brief
The client wanted to modernise the pharmacy while maintaining uninterrupted service for patients throughout the works.
The project aimed to expand the retail area, improve the customer journey, create private consultation spaces aligned with modern pharmacy practice, optimise working and storage areas, and minimise the impact of the works on the pharmacy’s day-to-day operations.
The key challenge was to transform the premises without disrupting the business.
Project Constraints
- Works carried out in an occupied environment while maintaining the pharmacy’s operations throughout the project.
- Carefully phased construction programme to ensure uninterrupted business continuity.
- Coordination of all specialist trades within a healthcare facility open to the public.
- Compliance upgrades and proactive management of the technical requirements associated with the extension.
- Careful management of patient circulation and secure separation of work areas throughout each phase of the project.
The Outcome
Today, Pharmacie Angely benefits from a larger, brighter and better-organised environment, designed to support the evolving needs of modern pharmacy practice.
The extension and refurbishment have enhanced patient comfort, improved customer flow and created private consultation spaces that meet the expectations of contemporary healthcare services.
The project was successfully delivered without interrupting the pharmacy’s operations, thanks to a carefully planned approach that balanced construction works, day-to-day business continuity and a consistently high standard of patient care.
